Would you Live in a Tiny House? Did you know people are living their dreams in tiny spaces? They are! People are living in 800 sq. ft or less & loving it! It all starts with a vision! A plan! And no need to be an artist when doodling your ideas down on paper!
People in the Midwest are wanting more out of life, meaning many are not wanting a large house payment! After all, it’s a lifestyle they are after, not more things which in turn…makes you want more things!
It’s the adventure of really living life to the fullest, but of course not without modern technology!
From cells phones to the internet, to a good movie every now & again, people are still able to keep the modern comforts of big home living! And by God that even means having a fully functional bathroom complete with tub & shower!
Yep! Look around you, you will see people moving from their $1300-dollar apartment rent or house payment (perhaps higher) to a fully functional tiny home with all the amenities of a big city home, minus the price!
And lets not forget, many folks are giving up city living, close neighbors, load noises from cars/trucks, driving on the streets, and heading to the suburbs that offer smaller communities for their children to run & play, & ride their bikes on the quiet less traffic streets which the smaller suburbs offer, & not to mention the local Ice-Cream hang-out on the corner!
I wanted to not only give a shout out on tiny homes & all the comforts they have to offer at a reasonable price, but, I also wanted to share the fact many people are moving out of the cities (ie…Des Moines Iowa & surrounding areas), to the suburbs! And some are even going further & making their mark in the country living in tiny houses, or a not so tiny house! And why not? Again, smaller communities & great schools, at a cheaper price! Less property taxes! Meaning more home to own for the money! And less noise! (Of course, I am in no way saying that the above cities do not have great schools/communities, & are not quiet, it’s all in what you want)! But what I am trying to convey is the fact many people are moving to the suburbs for perhaps a cheaper house payment, bigger house for a lot less money, & cheaper property taxes!
You will find many smaller suburbs are only a hop~skip~&~jump, from your bigger city living, and your place of business, ie…work. & you probably will arrive at your destination in just as many minutes as it takes you from your city address now! Once you factor in your driving time in the city, ie…stop lights do take up a lot of minutes! Time yourself in the morning & see! Many suburbs offer a quick commute to work rather they are commuting to Des Moines, Johnston, Waukee, Ankeny, ect… they are finding not only more home for the buck, but, the drive time is minimal as well! From Pleasantville, it takes about 20 mins to get to the south side of Des Moines, & 40 mins to get to Waukee!

In order to qualify, you must be at least 62 years old (some lenders set the minimum age at 60). If you’re desperate for cash flow, this type of loan should be considered, but be aware of the dangers of high upfront fees and the possibility of losing your home.
